New Dawn the Malaika Kids!


It has been a new dawn for some of our Malaika Kids from the "Shooting Star" and "Busy Bees" programs. Special Education Professionals (SEP) an organization that comes once per month to work with the Malaika Kids doing mental and physical rehabilitation, realized some of the children might be able to learn how to sew. After working very hard with SEP, 3 of our Malaika kids have learned how to spin, thread and construct a line on the sewing machines. Nothing is impossible for a willing heart.
The 3 Malaika Kids that were trained in the sewing room were:
       • George (suffering from down syndrome, age 16 years - Shooting Star)
       • Alice (suffering from low memory, age 14 years - Busy Bee)
       • Lucy (suffering from ear problem and low memory, age 18 years - Shooting Star)
