Joel and Josie Manwill - Medical Team/Malaika Kids

First I want to say thanks to all the generous donations from friends and family that made last year's trip possible. We were able to fully evaluate all the children in the Malaika Kids program and make plans for future needs. There is still much to be done, but there is also very exciting news. CTC has hired a Kenyan OT to work with the Malaika Kids! I can't wait to work alongside him this year as we provide treatment and move the program into the future. We have a bigger vision of expanding the Malaika Kids through doing more community outreach as well as helping the Maasai community of Namuncha to establish their own program for children with special needs.

Also, this year I am bringing Josie Manwill, my 15 year old daughter, who will be helping me with the Malaika Kids as well as providing service for the soccer programs established by CTC's community initiative. Josie has 5 years experience as a soccer goalkeeper at the highest competitive levels. She will provide trainings and equipment for the youth of the CTC soccer club.
