Happy Birthday Nico! (Lauren Kamal for the Knowledge and Resource Center)

Our daughter Nico turned one on December 7th, and books are her favorite toys! She gets her books out as soon as she's out of her crib each morning, and she loves to sit and "read", turning each page and checking everything out. For her birthday, we wanted to support CTC International's Knowledge and Resource Center, their hub for all educational programs serving Maai Mahiu, Kenya and the first library in the area. My sister, Whitney Snell, is CTC's Assistant Director and we figured the best way to support them was to help provide others with access to great books. Therefore, we've asked our friends and family to support this cause by donating to CTC or donating books in lieu of gifts.
