Molly Harris October Medical Trip

Hi! My name is Molly and I live and work in Austin, Texas. I am a child advocate, an avid reader, a song singer, an amateur foodie, and in October of this year, I will also be a volunteer with Comfort the Children International in Kenya.

I've been involved with non-profit organizations since I was old enough to hold a glue stick (we used to visit the local children's hospital as a family and do craft projects in the playrooms with patients) and the sense that we're all connected was a big part of the lessons I learned growing up--and is still something important to me today.

I'm so excited to be a part of CTC and am looking forward to getting my hands dirty, making friends, and learning about the culture in Maai Mahiu. As a Certified Child Life Specialist, I'll be working along side physicians and other clinical staff from Dell Children's Medical Center to to provide education on child development, support for families, and –of course—the power of PLAY while I’m in Kenya.
