The first library in the Rift Valley, it is a place that welcomes all people to respond to community needs. Partnered locally with the Kenya Library Association, the University of Nairobi, and Kenyatta University, CTC collectively works to develop literacy programs, employment opportunities, and occupational/vocational workshops.

Other Kenyan partners working with us to combat illiteracy are: Laleyo, a
non-profit focused on building a literacy program for the rural Maasai tribe
and St. Jerome of the Anglican Church of Kenya located in Kibera slum where approximately 1 million people live on 550 acres of land.

These programs are crucial to provide healthy educational environments
with adequate school supplies, mentor relationships, and structured learning conditions.
