It was an exciting week as the Health program was finalizing on home based care training in Oleimwa in Maasai land.
The C.T.C. health team alongside a representative from the District Public Health Officer in charge of home based care and an Adherence Officer from Kijabe worked hand in hand in equipping grandmothers with skills and knowledge on how to care for people living with H.I.V. Aids. Topics taught were Self care skills, Nutrition, Tubercolosis (T.B), and Basic of H.I.V Aids, Community mobilizations, Reproductive Health and Family Planning, Management of Aids related conditions.
The grandmothers gave their views on the various subjects and their misconceptions cleared.
