Maai Mahiu doesn't have trash cans, or garbage trucks. So imagine the community's surprise when CTC instructed residents & businesses to not throw their waste on the streets, but instead in bags that we would come back for...
Just 2 weeks have elapsed since CTC began the waste management program in Maai Mahiu. The streets are unrecognizable. This is just the beginning of what CTC is planing to do with the community wide clean up. People have seen that CTC is alive and making change in the community due to our actions with trash clean up. Residents are grateful for this new program which is also improving the health of their children. Keep checking back for more progress, photos and news of what is next.
