Jane Hawrylak, Education and Youth Intern

I am so excited to have the privilege of being the Education and Youth Intern for CTC International! I cannot wait to travel to Maai Mahiu and help with the development of the Study Buddy program, Adult Literacy program, and much more! I currently just finished my Junior year at Texas A&M University, studying Recreation, Parks & Tourism Sciences while specializing in Youth Development. The past three years at Texas A&M University, I have volunteered at a local non-profit called Save Our Streets Ministry. By being involved in this organization, I learned my true passion of service and building relationships. I have loved building relationships with the inner-city children at SOS and helping them grow into young adolescents. Last summer, I volunteered with a local non-profit in San Antonio, Texas. I was able to learn how to manage and organize non-profits and how to build relationships with adolescents. I learned so much educationally, but I also was able to grow as a person. I can only imagine how much I will grow and learn with this Internship position. I cannot wait to travel to Maai Mahiu and experience this adventure!
