- STORIES FROM MAAI MAHIU, KENYA -
The training was organized by CTC international in conjunction with Mama Hope Foundation having teams coming from different parts. We had a group from Tanzania, Kisumu as well as two schools from Maai Mahiu. In partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture we educated the students on various topics: Environmental education, group formation and dynamics, general agriculture, record keeping, drip irrigation, school mapping and chosing an enterprise.
Later in the day, we took a field trip to the CTC Land in Maai Mahiu to enlighten the team on drip irrigation technology. Everyone enjoyed the workshop and was excited to be able to implement what they had learned back at their schools.
We had good time relating with one another and a great group discussion. Our goal for the workshop was to work with kids who will be our leaders in future. We are seeing growth within this initiative and are very thankful for everyone who made this workshop a success.
