I'm a manx first and foremost. Born on a tiny Island that boasts cats with no tails and men with 3 legs! The Isle of Man is a land of rolling hills and stormy beaches. I left when i was 18 to study in the UK and spent time studying theology in Cheltenham and Cambridge. After many people telling me that I would make a good teacher and secretly believing it myself, I headed to Kenya to give it a try. I spent 2 challenging and wonderful years in Northwest Kenya teaching at a small girls boarding school- i loved it and got the bug for both teaching and for Africa. After honing my teaching skills at a boys school back in the UK, i once more returned to Africa in 1999, to teach missionary kids, just outside Nairobi. I loved my students and loved the opportunities i had to see first hand what God was already doing in the local communities. Right now i am completing seminary in Vancouver, Canada and also teaching at a local school. I love the outdoors and spontaneous adventures, camping in the snow or being on a beach on a wet and windy day.
