Bodwell in Action!

Bodwell High School has been a dedicated supporting partner of CTC for the past 5 years and this year’s main project with the school was the Knowledge and Resource Center to be built soon.

It has been great hosting the Bodwell team of 16 from Canada in the last 10 days. 3 of these days were spent doing some intense class room construction work in Oiti-Maasai land, a community needing more educational empowerment opportunities.

Kenyan students from partnering schools around Maai Mahiu were not left out either. This gave the group a chance to connect and appreciate the different global cultural diversities. Maasai children spiced up our construction days as they were able to play and socialize with them despite the language barrier. The smiles on their faces gave us the courage and motivation to continue with the construction till its completion.

The team got the chance to have lunch inside one of the manyattas! How much more traditional could it get than this.

A big thank you to the team leaders for a great work done in coordinating the team and also to Bowell High School for their priceless  contribution.

Let’s make the connections a continuous affair.
