Making new friends around the globe!

Comfort the Children International and Catching the Spirit have been creating cross-cultural relationships between the youth of Kenya and other kids around the globe since 2010. This strong partnership gave birth to a new initiative of penpals in November last year under the youth program.

The penpal program promotes friendships and the youth are able to learn and appreciate the different global cultures. It also provides an avenue for the youth to exchange ideas on matters concerning the environment. This is enhanced through their facebook page, CTS Ubuntu. The group meets every third Saturday of the month via Skype.

This Saturday 31st March, 2012 6am-9am (Kenya time) we shall hold the first ever debate  whereby over 40 participants from both sides will be present. The purpose is engage youths from Canada and Kenya about sustainability and celebrates global cultures and youth leadership.

The groups are preparing hard for this exciting day; videos, songs and photos are already underway.

Anyone who takes interest in the environment and global culture is welcomed.

Add skype name: Bernard.owino70 and you will be connected.
