CTC provides medical needs for the communities with medical teams from the U.S.
Our medical teams helped organize the first AIDS awareness and support group in Maai Mahiu starting with HIV patients who received their medications through CTC. This group has been a vibrant and growing source of community education and prevention of the AIDS epidemic. |
CTC, in cooperation with regional health care facilities, provides medications to patients evaluated by the medical teams.
CTC works to establish better sanitation practices and health treatment.
We have held seminars and functions educating the community on proper oral care (before we arrived in 2003 many of the children in the orphanage had never used a toothbrush), proper bathing methods, home care, etc.
