- STORIES FROM KENYA -
It has been exciting having Alice Johnston (shosho), Elaine Kines and friends from Whole Foods Market here this summer! We had some quality time together sharing stories with them about Malaika Mums’ lives, their families and how they have struggled with their special needs kids until CTC came to comfort them from the trauma they were living with. Amongst the activities we involved ourselves include; home visits to the homes of some of the mums and our visitors got a feel for their backgrounds, present, and their future with CTC. We also had the pleasure to plant some trees at our new CTC land.
On the 12th of July 2012, all the mums and “shosho” came together just to celebrate the great work done by the mums in our CTC Economy Initiative having been empowered and trained on tailoring.
Thanks,
Liz Josiah
